Meet the Team

Alexis Harrison

Hi!  My name is Alexis Harrison.  I am a Case Manager/ Therapist, in West Tennessee with Kidlink Community Services.  I have worked for Kidlink for 2 years where I manage cases and provide therapy to children placed in foster care. I am a graduate from Union University with a Masters in Social Work. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, trying new things, and shopping. My favorite inspirational quote that inspires me daily is “Live, Laugh, and Love” and the love of helping others motivates me to provide services to my clients.

Brook Smith

Hi!  I’m Brook Smith. I have 4 years of continued experience in the Social Work field. I am a case manager in West Tennessee for Kidlink Community Services, where I complete face-to-face visits and other case management services for children in foster care. Prior to this, I spent 3 years working for the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services as a Family Service Worker and a Placement Specialist. I attended Middle Tennessee State University and graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Social Work in 2017.

I am currently attending the University of Memphis to pursue my Master’s in Social Work. When I am not working, I runs her own small business providing beauty services. I am  very family-oriented, so any spare time I have is mostly spent with my children. I am inspired by the power to push through situations, especially when faced with adversity.

My favorite quote is “You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.” I am easily motivated by my son and knowing I have others looking up to me. I try my best to keep striving but also know I am human, so every day will not be perfect. I do not let my yesterday determine my today. I strive to instill this into my foster care babies because it teaches endurance and perseverance.

Wendolyn Miller

Hi!  My name is Wendolyn Miller.  I am the Director of Foster Care.  Currently I supervise the therapists, case manager and recruiters with our agency.  I review referrals for placements, present potential placements to foster parents and assist with trainings and the opening of foster homes.

I have been working in the children’s service field since 2003.  I have spent time at DCS as a case manager in foster care, juvenile justice and placement services.  I have been with Natchez Trace over 12 years and have serviced in several roles including therapist and Director of Admissions.

I received my Bachelor’s Degree from Lane College and my Master’s in Human Services with a concentration in counseling from Capella University.

I am a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated where I enjoy providing service within my community and I am a worship leader at my church. In my spare time I enjoy walking, listening to music, and spending time with my children and grandchildren.

My motivation for what I do stems around my children.  Because I became a mother at a young age, my children challenged me and made sure that I always followed through on goals, dreams and promises. I believe that children are not their environment or their situation and with love, nurturing and wisdom we can change the world.
